Angled Kick shot

This is a cool kick shot. The CB is angled in the upper right corner, the 8 and 5-ball are blocking the kick on the left short rail and a swurf is also blocked by the 5-ball. All there is left to do is a tricky shot on the point of the jaw of the corner pocket where the CB is situated. It takes a little practise, but it's fairly simple once you have mastered it. Aim just a little bit left of the point of the jaw, using a little topspin (you have no other option since the CB is against the rail). Use just enough pace to let the CB roll gently alongside the short rail towards the 1-ball, knocking the 9-ball in. Playing this shot to hard will result in either the CB moving away from the rail because of the topspin, or the CB coming back from the jaw too soon and touching the tip of your cue. It takes practise to get the pace right. That's the difficulty in this shot.
