Learn how to play billiards pool

You may not always have the option to pocket the object ball to the closest pocket or even hit the object ball directly with your cue ball.

Bank shots allow you to pocket an object ball on another pocket by using a cushion to bounce the object ball into before it goes to the intended pocket. Kick shot allows you to hit the object ball by getting the cue ball to strike a cushion first before the object ball. Both types of shots will be discussed in detail in this section.
