Interview
When did you start playing pool? and what got you started?
I got interested in the sport when I was still 12 yrs old, during my summer vacation in my hometown, in Cebu, I often accompanied my dad whenever he plays with his friends, and while waiting I tried to play some games to keep myself out of boredom. Eventually, I fell inlove with the sport.
When did you start taking the game seriously? And what did you do to improve your game?
When we transferred to Manila, we went around several billiard halls here looking for associations that I may be able to join which might somehow help me in improving my game. I joined several club tournaments to gain experience, and I also watched matches of some of the billiard greats.
What are your plans for the future?
Well, I'd like to pave the way for other female players here in the Philippines since this is a neglected sector of the pool playing community. Representing the country is what I enjoy the most in playing abroad, and I hope to be a touring professional player.
Who's had the most influence in your game?
My idol Efren "bata" Reyes! I also like Mika Immonen's scientific approach to the game.
